About Us

Bijou Video (Founded 1978):

Bijou Video began as the film arm of Bijou, producing and purchasing some of the best gay films from the 1970s and 1980s. Now known as “Bijou Gay Classics,” it remains the oldest and most prominent gay film company in the world, specializing in the restoration of classic gay erotica from iconic filmmakers such as Hand in Hand, Steve Scott, Al Parker, and others.

The Bijou Theater (1970-2015)

The Bijou Theater, located in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood, was a gay adult theater and sex club that operated for over 40 years. It was the longest-running gay adult theater in the United States, closing its doors in September 2015.
